DesignMart ("DesignMart", "we", "us", or "our") operates the DesignMart mobile application (the "App"), a business-to-business marketplace that connects apparel wholesalers (who upload designs) with retailers (who browse and buy). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights you have over it.
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
This Policy is published in compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act") and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules thereunder, and is designed to meet the disclosure requirements of the Google Play Store.
DesignMart is the Data Fiduciary responsible for your personal data.

We collect only the data needed to provide the marketplace. Specifically:

Our use of location is limited to approximate (city-level) location, used only to pre-fill your state and city — you can decline it and type them in. We do not collect precise/GPS location, do not track your location in the background, and do not collect your contacts, microphone/audio, camera video, financial account numbers, or payment-card data. We do not request audio recording. Photo access is used only to let you select images to upload.
The App is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
We use your data to:
Legal bases (DPDP Act): we process your data based on the consent you provide when you sign up and use the App, and to provide the service you have requested. You may withdraw consent as described in Section 7.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers ("Data Processors") that run the App on our behalf, and only as needed:

These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only to provide their service to us. Some providers (PostHog, Sentry, Expo) process data on servers outside India; we rely on their security commitments to protect data transferred internationally.
We may also disclose data if required by law, court order, or a lawful government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of DesignMart and its users.
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Specifically:
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with a legal obligation or resolve disputes.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) between the App and our servers and our content delivery network, hashed and rotated authentication tokens, least-privilege access controls on storage, and private image-upload buckets. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and review our practices regularly.

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
